Alex is the youngest amongst his family, his sister Suzy is 4 years older, and his brother Joe is 6 years older.
While living in New York City, Alex's parents ran a shoe store.
Alex's parents names were Victor and Lourdes.
Alex was 9 years old when his dad left his mother.

Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez was born on July 27th, 1975 in New York City, New York.  Alex is of Dominican heritage.  He is 6'3" and weighs 230 pounds.  He has two daughters Natasha and Ella.  He spent his childhood playing Little League.  He did not to to college, because he was drafted by Major League Baseball.  He also played basketball and football in high school.  His hobbies include basketball, golf and boating.  His favorite players growing up were Keith Hernandez, Dale Murphy and Cal Ripken, Jr.  He joined the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade in 1982 at the age of 7 and remained a member until the day he was drafted in 1993.
